John Deere 210 garden tractor

1977 classic john deere we bought a rusty old 210 cheap and this is what we got after its restoration shown here without decals yet and the rusty old 38" deck "no longer with us, replaced by a 47" deck" fresh engine rebuild watch how fast it cold starts, actually it usually starts up even faster . my weekly mowing tractor 10 hp very reliable for an old tractor. this tractor had not run in 4 years and had spent those 4 years outside under a deck. so it had a lot of surface rusting but not major. the engine had "NO!!!" oil in it and had apparently been last run like that. supprisingly it was not even seized???!!! the conecting rod lower bearing was badly scoured and ready to seize. we replaced the connecting rod, gaskets, rings, ground the valves, lightly honed the cylender, added 30w "OIL", some fresh paint to both engine and tractor and were back in buisiness. it starts and runs like new!!!
